Lastly, I have to ask again about the smooth scrolling function because I do not understand how the number of lines that are scrolled influences whether or not smooth scrolling is possible? If the scrolling behaviour was smooth it would probably not even matter that 7 lines are scrolled because I would be able to keep track of where I was in the text.
